Building a coalition to protect child dignity online

2018 - 2020

The Centre for Child Protection (CCP) of the Pontifical Gregorian University provides education resources for safeguarding minors. CCP organised the 2017 World Congress on Child Dignity in the Digital World with Telefono Azurro and WeProtect. The resulting Declaration of Rome issues a call to action to leaders across the private sector, civil society and academia. HDF has directly funded an Executive Secretary to utilise the declaration as a platform on which to build a coalition of the willing.



What does ‘safer’ look like?

Already today children represent one third of all Internet users. While benefiting tremendously from connectivity for their education and entertainment, they are also exposed to major risks and threats online, including different forms of violence and exploitation, bullying, radicalization, and more.
