In 2017 the Centre for Child Protection of the Pontifical Gregorian University organised the World Congress on Child Dignity in the Digital World at the Vatican in partnership with Telefono Azurro and WePROTECT Global Alliance. The resulting Declaration of Rome issued a call to action to leaders across the private sector, civil society and academia and launched the Child Dignity Alliance – a coalition of the willing.
HDF funded the Child Dignity Alliance Secretariat and its work to form and coordinate six working groups with over forty senior members (from academia, public policy, the technology industry and broader private sector) to tackle myriad aspects of online child sexual exploitation and abuse.
