Equality Now is a legal advocacy organisation that uses a combination of national, regional and international human rights law to secure justice and protection for women and girls at risk of harmful practices. HDF funds contributed to Equality Now’s success in retaining a global indicator on FGM/C in the post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals, and advocacy for laws that protect girls and criminalise FGM/C in 3 core countries – Kenya, Sierra Leone, and Liberia.
