Equality Now is a legal advocacy organisation that uses a combination of national, regional and international human rights law to secure justice and protection for women and girls at risk of harmful practices. HDF funds have contributed to Equality Now’s success in retaining a global indicator on FGM in the post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals, and ongoing advocacy for laws that protect girls and criminalise FGM in 3 core countries – Kenya, Sierra Leone, and Liberia.
