Plan India

Strengthening prevention and protection for children at risk of trafficking

India
2013 - 2019

Founded in 1937, Plan is a leading international organisation working towards achieving universal children’s rights. Plan India focuses on supporting the most disadvantaged children, particularly victims of bonded labour and trafficking, those affected by HIV/AIDS, and the disabled. HDF supported Plan’s initiative to rescue children from trafficking and prevent child labour. The focus of this work was strengthening government laws and institutions and establishing community-based mechanisms to fulfil children’s rights to education, development, and protection from exploitation.
