Protea Education is a charity established in 2004 to address the lack of computer technology in school classrooms in Cape Town, South Africa. Their broad objective is to assist in bridging the ‘digital divide’ between teachers and pupils in primary schools in the most impoverished areas of greater Cape Town through the provision of computer technology, and related support services.
