The Girl Generation

Supporting grassroots initiatives to end FGM/C

International
2015 - 2019

The Girl Generation is a collective of over 700 organisations working together to end FGM in this generation. Focused in 10 high risk African countries, the collective provides a global platform for catalysing and amplifying the Africa-led movement to end FGM/C and promoting the use of social change communication to influence a change in the social norms that underpin the practice. HDF funded the small grants programme which supported dozens of grassroots community initiatives led by activists working to bring an end to FGM/C across 10 core countries.
