Women for Women International

Improving the lives of socially-excluded women and their families

Afghanistan
2011 - 2014

Since 1993, Women for Women International has helped marginalized women in countries affected by war and conflict. They believe strong women build strong nations, and offer support, tools, and access to life-changing skills to move from crisis and poverty to stability and economic self-sufficiency. A grant from HDF supported their mentoring initiative to provide over 15,000 women with life skills and vocational training, as well as opportunities to start viable businesses in their communities.
